A head-on crash killed a Vail, Iowa man and injured three others on Thanksgiving Day.
Investigators say two cars collided at the crest of a hill near 330th and J Avenue in Crawford County. The impact pushed both vehicles into a ditch.
Fifty-year-old Jeffery Alan Studt was behind the wheel of one of the cars and died of his injuries. The Iowa State Patrol says Studt was not wearing a seat belt.
His passenger was Christina Marie Studt. She was injured. It's not clear if she was buckled up. In the other car was 30-year-old Matthew Johnson and his passenger, 27-year-old Becky Weller, both of Manilla, Iowa. They were wearing seat belts. Both were hospitalized for their injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. At this point, no one has been cited.
