The Hastings College Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of President Dennis Trotter, who has been in office since June 1, 2011.
After accepting the resignation, the Board deliberated and unanimously elected Donald E. Jackson as his successor.
Jackson most recently served as the college’s Vice President for Advancement, after successful tenure as Vice Chairman of the Hastings College Board of Trustees and as long-time global Chief Operating Officer of Easter Seals.
A Nebraska native, President Jackson’s term is effective immediately.
Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.
