A disturbance at an Omaha apartment complex Sunday morning was first reported as a shooting, but the "gun" turned out to be part of a Halloween costume and not the real thing.

Police say a man was taken to the hospital from the Apple Creek Apartments near South 141st Plaza and Kent for a cut to his head. It is unclear if the injury was from an assault or if the man fell.

Police answered a number of calls relating to disturbances, noise complaints and a few “armed party” situations that turned out to be toy guns.
