They didn't use any of Tony Soprano's guys, but HBO did move quickly to erase any idea that their popular shows will be available on Netflix.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings hinted earlier this week that his video rental and streaming company could partner with HBO. That idea was shot down by HBO spokesman Jeff Cusson. "We are not in discussions and have not plans to work with Netflix."
HBO offers their current and past programs such as "Boardwalk Empire," "The Newsroom" and "The Sopranos" to its subscribers through HBO Go. The on-demand service is available through computers, tablets and smart phones.
HBO has also refused to sell Netflix DVDs of its shows at wholesale prices that it offers to retail stores.
