Omaha police have identified the victim of an early morning shooting Thursday.
Fifty-five-year-old Lee Page was walking in the area of 21st and Locust around 2:45 a.m. when someone approached him demanding money.
Page tried to run away and was shot. He walked into the Alegent Creighton University Medical Center and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Around 2:45 a.m., 55-year-old Lee Page walked into Creighton University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
He originally told officers he was walking in the area of 21st and Locust when a black male approached him and demanded money. Page reported that he was shot as he tried to run away; however, as police continued to question Page, his story changed.
Police did not locate a crime scene at 21st and Locust.
