Gun, Badge, Ammo Stolen From Deputy's Car

A Missouri Reserve Deputy Sheriff traveling through Omaha says all of his gear was stolen while he was staying at a downtown hotel.

Brian Hazlett reported the crime Thursday, August 14th. Someone had broken into his car's passenger-side window.

They took Hazlett's badge, handgun, a ballistic vest, dash camcorder, and ammunition.

It happened at the Hampton Inn near 12th & Cuming.

A police report estimates the missing items will cost $2,000 dollars to replace.
