A teenage Hy-Vee employee watched as two men broke into his car Sunday afternoon. When he tried to stop them, one of the suspects stabbed him.
It happened at the Hy-Vee near 36th & L, just before 1 p.m.
The suspects took off in a stolen civic, striking a parked Hy-Vee van as they left.
The 19-year-old victim was transported to the hospital, treated and released.
Police found the suspect vehicle abandoned, near 41st & P. Just a few blocks away, the suspects were sitting in another car with two females.
20-year-old Justin Alonzi was booked for Theft from a Vehicle, Felony Assault, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Obstructing.
25-year-old Troy Dinius was booked for Theft from a Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and Felony Theft by Receiving.
