Grave Marker Found In Recycling Bin

Council Bluffs police are asking for the public’s help in returning the grave marker of a 6-month-old girl.

The name on it is Megan Alaine Kjellberg, who died January 2, 1986. The inscription reads, "Now you have the sun and stars to play with." Investigators have been unable to locate the baby’s grave.

Police say the marker was found by recycling center workers in a recycling bin. It’s believed someone must have stolen the marker thinking it was made of copper, then tossed it after discovering it was only coated in copper.
