Goodwill Industries will host a Grand Opening event on Friday October 11, 2013 for the agency's newest retail/donation/training location at 11722 Standing Stone Drive in Gretna, NE. -- on the east side of Highway 31 at Bryan Street -- just north of Sonic.
A ribbon cutting and flag dedication will take place at 8:15 a.m.
Goodwill executives and city officials, including Gretna Mayor Jim Timmerman, plan to attend.
The 15,500 square-foot building houses a retail store, production room, donation drop-off door and an employment & training room. It's the nonprofit agency's 16th facility with others located throughout the metro area including: Omaha, Papillion, Bellevue, Blair, Fremont, and Council Bluffs.
The free-standing building was designed by RDG Schutte Wilscam Birge and built by the Kiewit Building Group.
With the completion of the Gretna facility, Goodwill created 30 new job opportunities.
