Village of Avoca obtaining funds through USDA Rural Development.
$718,000 was awarded to replace all existing water lines throughout the village. Leveraged funds of $40,000 from the village will complete the funding.
The Cassgram reports a USDA spokeswoman says $556,000 of the total will be a loan to Avoca, and the remaining $162,000 will be a grant.
“USDA Rural Development is pleased to assist in this project,” said Nebraska State Director Maxine Moul, USDA Rural Development. “A strong infrastructure is important in rural communities and this project will enhance that of Avoca.”
USDA funding was provided through the USDA Rural Development Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program.
