Goodwill Industries is teaming up with the ALICE Training Institute to bring active shooter training to Goodwill's headquarters.

The two day course goes from October 15th to the 16th, at headquarters near 72nd & Ames Avenue.

Attendees will learn survival strategies for a violent intruder or active shooter scenario.

A news release announcing the training reads: "The goal of the ALICE program is to provide individuals with survival-enhancing options for those critical moments in the gap between when a violent situation begins and when law enforcement arrives on scene."

ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate

The Institute says its training is in-line with government recommendations.
