Good Samaritan Fights Off Car-Jackers

Kenosha County authorities say a 75-year-old man fought off a teenage pair of would-be carjackers.

The sheriff's department says two Iowa teens pulled into Alex Weber's driveway Tuesday morning saying they were out of gas. Weber drove them to a gas station and pumped gas into a can for them.

Authorities say he drove them back and began pouring gas into their car. They say one suspect, a 19-year-old from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, tried to choke Weber with a tire iron.

The teen allegedly called for the other person, a 19-year-old woman from New London, Iowa, to grab Weber's keys.

Weber fought them off without relinquishing his keys. The teens fled in their own vehicle and were later arrested.

Sheriff David Beth says the suspects picked on the wrong person.
