Good grades for some districts in Nebraska Statewide Testing (NeSA). Governor Dave Heineman recently released the rankings of schools in 11th Grade NeSA testing in Math, Science, Writing and Reading assessments.
Elmwood-Murdock finished 2nd in Science and 4th in Writing of the 41 Class C-2 schools in Nebraska.
Elmwood-Murdock is the only ECNC Conference and Cass County school to finish in the top five in two categories, says Elmwood-Murdock Superintendent Dan Novak.
Elmwood-Murdock is the only school to finish in the top five in writing in Class C-2 each of the three years in which assessment results were released.
“We are very proud of our educational program and are extremely appreciative of the time and effort invested by students and staff in achieving these goals,” says Novak.
Elmwood-Murdock ranked 10th in 11th Grade Reading Assessment and 14th in Math.
---In Class C-2, Conestoga was one of seven schools the governor commended for improving their reading scores every year. In the latest assessment, 85% of 11th grade students at Conestoga met or exceeded reading standards, ranking Conestoga second in Class C-2.
Conestoga ranked 10th in Science, 16th in Math and 32nd in Writing.
---Louisville ranked 7th in Writing in C-2, 10th in Reading, 28th in Science and 29th in Math.
---Weeping Water ranked 20th in Science in C-2, 21st in Reading, 35th in Writing and 36th in Math.
---Plattsmouth was 13th in Math of the 28 Class B schools. Plattsmouth was 15th in Reading, 17th in Science and 24th in Writing.
