Going Bald For Cancer Research Support

Two dozen people both men and women have gone bald intentionally.
It’s for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation that raises money for childhood cancer research.

Professional stylists shave heads of volunteers like Jackie Christian. She said it’s to show solidarity for those who lose their hair during cancer treatment.

The fundraiser in its sixth year start Friday with two young cancer patients shaving the head and beard of the doctor who heads the unit where they are being treated. The head shaving event at the Nebraska medical center raise more than five thousand dollars for childhood cancer research
