A Glenwood woman has been sentenced to five years in prison and five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Thirty-eight-year-old Heather Jean Reekers was sentenced Friday.
She entered a guilty plea in January to the charge that resulted from a drug investigation by the DEA. That investigation followed a meth distribution trail from the southwestern U.S. to eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
A co-defendant in the case, Jose Raul Guevara, was sentenced earlier to 10 years in prison.
In addition to the Drug Enforcement Administration the investigation involved the Southwest Iowa Narcotics Task Force, the Mills County Sheriff’s Office and Council Bluffs Police.
