An old tree picked a good time to collapse onto an Omaha street Sunday morning. No people or vehicles were around and police had time to get to John A. Creighton Boulevard and Bedford Avenue to prevent any accidents.
With no strong winds overnight, it's unclear what brought the big tree down. There were no reports of any injuries.
This was the second such incident in three days. A massive tree limb came crashing down Friday morning, taking some power lines with it at North 38th and Hamilton.
Channel 6 News spoke with the man who owns the white car in the photo. He said he heard the tree cracking and then it came down around 10 a.m., just missing him as it fell to the street.
Despite the lines coming down, no one lost power.
