Survey request from residents in several counties.
With a population expected to double by the year 2050, the region will have to grapple with growth and issues such as housing, employment, transportation and natural resources that come along with it. Heartland 2050, a long-term visioning plan, will examine those questions and others, and offer scenarios on what our region could look like based on input from citizens throughout the region.
The Cassgram reports residents of Cass, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders and Washington counties in Nebraska and Harrison, Mills, and Pottawattamie counties in Iowa are being asked to complete surveys about what they value in their community.
The public can take the survey at community events or online at www.Heartland2050.org.
