Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol made contact with more than 80 motorists during special enforcement efforts before and after the Saturday, November 10 NU-Penn State game.
The special enforcement was designed to help ease traffic congestion and reduce the potential for injury crashes. It was the second in a series of special efforts planned for the remaining Husker home games. Traffic enforcement will also be conducted during the November 17, NU-Minnesota game.
Troopers ticketed two drivers for driving while intoxicated. They also found three drivers driving under suspension.
There were 38 citations for speeding, three seat belt citations and one child restraint citation.
Troopers also helped with 12 motorists assists.
The enforcement is paid for, in part, by a $6,570 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
