Hundreds showed up to support a man who was recently attacked and robbed. His friends and co-workers held a fundraiser on Sunday, a month after the attack happened.
Hundreds came out to the American Legion Post in Ralston to support a man, some don't even know very well.
The family doesn't want his identity released. However, money raised at Sunday's event will go towards the victim's medical expenses.
"He's been real good," said friend and co-worker Edie Freeman. "He didn't know that many people were going to show up for this. I said, well there's a lot of good people out there."
Omaha police say the case remains under investigation. Detectives have identified at least one possible suspect, but no arrests have been made. If anyone knows anything, they are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
