A nightmare came to life in Benson Saturday evening as the walking dead took over the Omaha neighborhood during the annual Zombie Walk.
More than 2,000 “zombies” of all ages took part. Organizers say the fun event gets everyone ready for Halloween. “Take their own time to put the effort into it so it's enjoyable for me, too,” said Eric Hahn.
The walk raised an estimated $5,000 for the Siena/Francis House homeless shelter.
