On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of fugitive Michael Sebesta, who was wanted for murder. On Thursday, they announced the arrests of four people accused of aiding and abetting the fugitive.
Sebesta had been on the run since the shooting death of his roommate Philip Burden January 31. Burden was found wounded inside their apartment near 73rd and Maple. He died at a hospital the same day.
Sebesta was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Comfort Inn near 87th and West Dodge Road. Before his arrest, police said they believed Sebesta was wearing wigs in an attempt to conceal his identity. They also believed he was staying at multiple locations throughout the metro.
Channel Six News has learned he was not wearing a disguise when the Metro Fugitive Task Force arrested him.
The four people who have been arrested for being an accessory to a felony are 19-year-old Angel McCord-Bovee, 22-year-old Carly McCord, 22-year-old Douglas Shearer, and 23-year-old Alicia Godsey.
