Four former U.S. secretaries of agriculture will be at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Friday to discuss the role land-grant universities play in transforming agriculture.
The event Friday evening at 7:30 will feature U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns, Clayton Yeutter, John Block and Dan Glickman.
They will speak at the Lied Center for Performing Arts as part of the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources' Heuermann Lectures.
The event is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's celebration of the 150th anniversary of passage of the Morrill Act, which created land-grant universities.
Admission is free but tickets are required, so anyone interested in attending should contact the Lied Center at 1-800-432-3231.
