A Fremont man faces serious charges. Investigators say his company found child pornography on DVDs he left in his desk after being fired. On Friday he appeared in court for the first time.
Leo Geaghan, 65, was booked into Douglas County Jail Thursday night. He was arrested by Valley Police. His bond was set at $25,000.
Geaghan worked at Valmont. The company told detectives Geaghan was told he was being let go, and then told his personal items would be gathered in a box and given to him at a later date.
Investigators say Geaghan then stopped, stood at his desk, "turned around and said 'no.'"
When the company began looking at DVDs in the desk, they discovered one appeared to contain child pornography.
During an interview with investigators, Geaghan denied knowing anything about six DVD's allegedly found in his desk, which contained pornography. He told detectives he may have been framed.
Investigators say the videos' file names indicated the children in some videos may have been as young as six years old.
