Former Republican presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee spoke Saturday at an event in Waukee aimed at rallying Iowa Christian conservatives.
The group The Family Leader hosted what's billed as a leadership summit, highlighted by the two past winners of Iowa's Republican presidential caucuses.
Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator, narrowly beat Mitt Romney in the January caucuses. Romney effectively locked up the 2012 GOP nomination in April.
Santorum urged roughly 400 conservative activists attending the event at a church in suburban Des Moines to vote against Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Wiggins, part of the unanimous decision in 2009 allowing gay marriage in Iowa.
Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor, won the 2008 caucuses in Cinderella fashion, but fell short of the nomination to John McCain.
