A 20 -year-old former University of Iowa student has been convicted of sexually abusing another student more than two years ago.
Evan Pfeifer, of Lake Barrington, Ill., was found guilty last week of sexual abuse. Pfeifer faces 10 years in prison when he's sentenced.
Authorities say the victim was 19 when Pfeifer assaulted her early in the morning of Oct. 3, 2010, after a football game the day before The woman says Pfeifer accosted her as she was headed to Stanley Hall on campus.
The woman says she didn't initially report the assault to police. She did so after she spotted Pfeifer on campus and her sister approached him and learned his name during a conversation.
