The Cove Lounge & Grille in Omaha will hold a benefit raffle and dinner Sunday in celebration of the life of Andrea Kruger, who was murdered last week while returning home from work at the Deja Vu Lounge.
Kruger was an employee at The Cove for over a year. Dinner will be served buffet-style starting at 5 p.m. and costs $5 per person
All profits from the benefit will be donated directly to the Kruger family. A raffle with prizes including free dinner at local restaurants, concert tickets, massages and more will take place during the benefit.
Currently, an auction for four Husker tickets is running at the restaurant for Saturday’s game against Wyoming. Bidding ends at 5 p.m. Friday. To place a bid, stop by the restaurant at North 147th Street and West Maple Road.
Anyone wanting to help can sign up at the restaurant or can drop items off up until Saturday night for the raffle. Donation boxes will also be set up throughout the restaurant for anyone wishing to contribute cash directly to the family.
The 33-year-old Kruger, a wife and mother of three, was found dead near 168th and Fort streets on the morning of August 21st. Her murder remains unsolved.
