A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for central Lancaster County until 4:30 p.m., eastern Harrison, southeastern Monona, northern Pottawattamie and western Shelby counties until 4:45 p.m. and Nemaha, northeastern Pawnee and northwestern Richardson counties until 5 p.m. A tornado watch is in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday for southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.
Registration for Fontenelle Forest’s Nature Discovery Day Camps which are designed to combine science based learning with adventure are now open
Camps are led by a trained staff committed to providing high quality, positive experiences. Each staff member has experience working with children, is enthusiastic and energetic, and has passed
a background check.
Camps run June through mid-August and are divided by age/grade (toddlers through grade 6).
Time, location, and price of camps vary. Fontenelle Forest members receive a discount.
Financial assistance is available.
Registration is required and space is very limited. Register by May 10 and receive a $10 discount.
