The side of an Omaha family's home collapsed into a sinkhole after Friday night's storms.
Lindsey and Steve Greise say after heavy rains and strong winds picked up Friday night, they heard a loud noise.
"We came downstairs and the wall was just completely caved in and water was just down-pouring into our basement and we realized the house was just caving in," said Lindsey.
The basement filled with mud and water covering furniture, clothes and equipment. Steve says the collapse caused thousands in damage.
"How are we going to get through it--how are we going to afford to fix it if our insurance doesn't help us," said Steve.
The several inches of rain that fell Friday night flooded homes across the metro. The Greise's say they are waiting to hear from their insurance company to see if they can cover the damage.
In the meantime, they covered exposed furniture with tarp.
