Five motorists were injured in separate rollover accidents in eastern Nebraska Sunday morning.
It took about 20 minutes to get the driver out of a pickup that crashed a mile west of Syracuse around 4 a.m. He was taken by medical helicopter to BryanLGH Medical Center West in Lincoln for treatment of injuries not thought to be life threatening. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the accident.
Four people went to the same hospital for injuries not considered life threatening following a crash on Interstate 80 west of Waverly around 4:30 a.m. The Nebraska State Patrol says the driver of a westbound SUV lost control, rolling over several times before coming to a stop in the median. A tire problem may have been the cause.
