A local firefighter’s appearance on Jeopardy was capped by a surprise for a local charity Tuesday.
Nick Lemek's friends and family gathered at the Firefighter Union Hall in Omaha to watch Nick on the show.
Lemek appreciates the support and had a surprise after the program.
He said, “Going out and representing the City of Omaha, representing the Omaha Fire Department, representing my brother and sister firefighters, I couldn't think of a better way to represent them than to give this money to the Brian Slobotski Foundation."
The Brian Slobotski Foundation is a local Muscular Dystrophy Association fund.
Lemek won $1,000 on the show.
