Omaha firefighters had to search for the location of a blaze Friday night before they could get to work. Once they found it, the house was fully engulfed in flames.
Those who reported it around 10:15 p.m. didn't know exactly where the fire was. “They saw a glow, a house glowing and a large amount of smoke going over Military, so when we arrived we didn't have an exact address, but we finally found it in this circle,” said OFD Battalion Chief John Stolinski.
The structure at 70th and Spaulding was declared a total loss. It was under renovation and had a current work permit. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
