A major concern of a fire that destroyed farm equipment in a machine shed northwest of Valley Wednesday morning were the propane tanks also located inside.

Firefighters from six departments called to the area of North 288th Street and Bennington Road around 4:15 a.m. found flames and thick smoke coming from the structure. They kept water pouring onto the propane tanks to keep them from exploding.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
