Authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged an Asian market in Lincoln
Eric Jones of Lincoln Fire and Rescue says the blaze at Hong
Kong Market was reported about 10 p.m. Saturday, after the store
had closed. Fire crews battled the blaze from outside because of
the narrow aisles of the store.
No injuries were reported.
The extent of the damage to the building has not yet been
determined. Jones says food inspectors will determine whether any
of the food can be salvaged but he expects it will all be lost.
