Fire At MLK Site Extinguished

The blaze was reported around 6 a.m. Wednesday at a building about half a block from King's tomb.

Crews from a nearby fire station arrived shortly after the fire broke out in a building owned by the National Park Service and is leased to a barber shop.

The shop has some fire damage as well as extensive water damage.

Firefighters also evacuated several loft apartments in an adjacent building.
