Authorities say a fire that spread from a backyard grill has destroyed a house southwest of Denton.
Crete Fire Chief Mahlon Kohl says the fire began about 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
It's unclear how the grill touched off the fire.
The man who was grilling suffered some minor burns. The rest of his family evacuated the home safely.
Kohl says firefighters kept the blaze from reaching a nearby barn.
