A fire caused extensive damage to a Gretna church Saturday morning.
Departments from Gretna and Springfield battled the blaze at the Acts2 Church near South 204th Street and Husker Drive for several hours. No one was injured and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
Church elder John Norvig says repairs to the church are expected to take several months. “The location of future weekly services and other church functions will be determined and announced soon. However, rest assured, we won’t miss a beat and God will get the glory.”
The church will hold services at 10 a.m. Sunday in the Ministry Equipping Center at Nebraska Christian College near South 114th Street and Capehart Road in Papillion.
The Acts2 Church was founded in 2009 and has 135 members.
