Fellowship Games Hold Court

Some Omaha students had a chance to hone their basketball skills Friday. More than 100 special education students took part in a two-hour basketball camp at Beveridge Middle School and King Science Center, part of what's called the Fellowship Games.

Students practiced basketball fundamentals and then competed in a tournament, a rare opportunity for most of the kids.

“They love it,” said Beveridge teacher Shana Frodyma. “Actually they're tired now after going through the drills and even though we started off with stretching and water breaks, this is a basketball camp and this is something that many of them don't get a chance to do."

The students earned medals, handed out after the tournament.
