Famous Russian Dance Act Returns to UNL

The Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble is returning for a performance at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

The university's Lied Center for Performing Arts will host the
Russian music and dance performance Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The ensemble has toured the world representing Russian military
art with music and cassock dancing, performed by an ensemble of
nearly 100 musicians and dancers.

The act was created in 1978 as part of the Strategic Rocket
Forces of the former Soviet Union. It's returning to the Lied
Center for the first time in 20 years.

The performance will include the songs "Russian Sailor's
Dance," "Moscow Nights" and Leonid Knipper's
