While prosecutors work on bringing justice to little Payton Benson's killer, community members continue to surround the family.
Hundreds of people came to fFamous Dave's near 72nd St. and Ames Avenue on Thursday, February 6th.
The restaurant owner tells WOWT Six News many of the employees live in the area and feel a connection to the family.
The word of the event spread fast; many of people eating didn't know the family personally, but they all had the same reason for coming.
"To help support the family," said Kathy Baker.
Payton's mother, Tabatha Manning, and other family members came out to enjoy the good food.
A total of $2,000 was raised. The money goes directly to the Payton Benson Foundation.
