With the weather getting warmer, local parks are providing more outdoor activities for families.
One event is Wednesday night in Papillion at Lake Halleck. It's called Family Fishing Day.
No fishing experience is needed for this event. Even rods and reels, as well as bait and fishing instruction will be provided for free.
"I think it's good to have kids to be able to have the opportunity to practice and learn how to do this stuff," said Jon Eden, father.
Anyone over the age of 16 must have a fishing license. To get a permit, go to OutdoorNebraska.org.
