The FBI believes the so-called “AK-47 Bandit” was responsible for a Nebraska City bank robbery more than a week ago.
He’s already wanted for six bank holdups in California, Idaho and Washington in 2012. The FBI said Sunday the same suspect robbed the First Nebraska Bank in Nebraska City on August 22nd.
Two years ago, he shot and wounded a police officer in Chino, California. “We want to make everyone aware of how violent this man is,” said Chino police detective Carlos Dominguez. “He is not afraid to pull the trigger. He has already shot a police officer, so anyone that gives him any resistance, he’s not afraid to act."
There is a $100,000 reward for information that will help investigators capture the robber. Anyone with information as to his identity is asked to call the Omaha FBI office at 402-493-8688.
