Extra police were present at Ralston High School Wednesday, after a threat was made from one student to another.
The threat was deemed unsubstantiated by Ralston Police, but extra officers were on hand as a precaution.
Also as a precaution, parents received the following message via email.
Dear Ralston High School families,
It has come to our attention that a potential threat has been made by a student. As always we appreciate everyone keeping vigilant to help us keep on top of the information. As a result we have been working closely with the Ralston Police Department who have taken over managing the situation and the person of interest surrounding these allegations. School will be in session as scheduled on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, with an increased law enforcement presence to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and visitors. Please be assured we will continue to have a focus on the safety and security of our students.
