More than 30 people turned out in Bellevue Monday for some answers about vitamins.
The advice came from the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and participants had the chance to find out how vitamins interact with each other and how its best to get the supplements from a well-balanced diet.
Pharmacist Adam Mikkelsen offered some advice about calcium saying, “Especially if you take the calcium with the food, then if you'd space it out and take it with lunch, it's getting the best absorption and you don't have to worry about the interaction."
The Sarpy/Cass Department of Health and Wellness hosted the workshop because organizers saw a need to get the right information out there.
As always, talk to your doctor and pharmacist first before making any changes to your vitamins.
