Omaha’s Eppley Airfield will help you travel the fast lane through airport security. The Transportation Security Administration says its TSA Pre-check system is now in place there.
The program allows for expedited screening at Eppley and other airports utilizing the system. TSA Pre-check members are eligible to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt in select screening lanes as well as getting more leeway for carry-on items.
The application process for signing up allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online at TSA.gov. You can also find more details about the program on the site.
If you’re interested in joining the program, you can begin the application process by visiting universalenroll.dhs.gov. You’ll need to finish the application by visiting the enrollment center at the airport. Walk-ins are welcome at Eppley but appointments are recommended.
There is a non-refundable application fee of $85 for a five-year membership.
