All of that rain fall has wreaked havoc on 72nd Street in La Vista. So much so, that Friday, crews were forced to make the road one lane in each direction for a 6 block stretch in order to make repairs.
The stretch of road undergoing repairs is from Michelle Avenue to James Avenue on 72nd Street.
Crews will be working in the area until at least Monday, so La Vista Police Chief Bob Lausten warns that drivers should expect delays.
Street flooding was common on a number of metro streets Friday afternoon as the latest round of heavy rain hammered the pavement.
Several inches of rain filled the intersection of 42nd and Leavenworth slowing the sloshing traffic.
