Westside Community School's ex-chief of finances is in hot water. Jim Clark is accused of intentionally misusing money that belonged to the district.
A federal indictment says Clark kept up the crime for four years.
Clark says he's innocent. His attorney, Steven E. Achelpohl, released the following statement on Thursday:
"Mr. Clark has, from the beginning of the investigation, cooperated with the United States Attorney's office. Mr. Clark emphatically denies the allegations of the indictment. We look forward to the opportunity to air all the facts in this case, which include evidence that records, which would tend to show Mr. Clark's innocence, were destroyed by personnel of District 66. We are extremely disappointed in the decision of the United States to prosecute this case."
