Two people were treated and released from a Lincoln hospital after the buggy they were riding in was rear-ended by a car Saturday evening.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department says the carriage being pulled by a pony was eastbound on West Denton Road just after 6 p.m. when it was struck near Southwest 16th Street by a driver trying to swerve to avoid a collision.
The driver of the car and pony were not hurt. There was some damage to the car, but the buggy was destroyed. No citations were issued.
