A pair of inmates who escaped from a Utah jail last week were captured Sunday morning in Lincoln.
Uintah County Undersheriff John Laursen says 31-year-old Dallas Derrick and 21-year-old Jason Braham were caught after being spotted walking away from a stalled vehicle. They were taken to the Lancaster County Jail where authorities said they may face charges in Nebraska before extradition back to Utah.
They're accused of stealing an SUV in Vernal, Utah after they fled on Wednesday through a vent in the jail laundry room where they worked.
Both were in jail on a variety of felony burglary and theft charges. Derrick also was serving time for drug charges, child abuse and failure to stop or respond at the command of police.
