Two major electric transmission lines damaged in Sunday's storms have been repaired, but more work remains to restore power to everyone in eastern Nebraska.
The Nebraska Public Power District said Wednesday it had restored power to transmission lines between Sutton and Hastings and between Davey and Wahoo. NPPD said it still has two other transmission lines to repair.
The repairs to all four lines will cost roughly $17 million. Those major transmission lines generally deliver power to smaller utilities that serve individual homes and businesses across the state. The smaller utilities are still working to repair all the tornado damage.
