More than a 25% of people who voted in Nebraska during the November 6th election chose to do so early.
The state Secretary of State's office says more than 800,000 people voted in the general election this year. That includes more than 200,000 early voters. More than 595,000 Nebraska voters visited the polls on Election Day.
The total shows more than 69 percent of people in Nebraska voted. That's just shy of Secretary of State John Gale's 71 percent prediction, and below the 70.2% who voted in 2008.
Gale says early in-person or mail-in balloting is gaining favor.
